This is the book that got me started! Needless to say, I think everyone should have a copy: what a great birthday present!

This was my first PBY book (the one that introduced me to searching for out-of-print, expensive books about Catalinas) and I couldn't wait to get back to every evening. It is well-researched and crammed full of details - a true labor of love. It covers American, Australian, Brazilian, Canadian, Dutch, English, Kiwi (New Zealand), and Norwegian services' use of the plane in WWII. It's both a (hi)story book and a reference book - a must-have for PBY/Catalina affectionados.
